Our services

Whether your child needs a checkup, a sports physical or help with an illness, Novant Health Pediatrics Berewick has experts available to serve you. We want to help you keep your children as healthy as possible and help them feel better quickly if they become sick.

Well-child visits

Well-child visits give you chances to develop a relationship with your pediatrician, and allow your child’s doctor to address health and development issues without delay. Children typically see a provider:

As newborns, a few days after leaving the hospital

  • At 1 month
  • At 2 months
  • At 4 months
  • At 6 months
  • At 9 months
  • At 12 months
  • At 15 months
  • At 18 months
  • Annually starting at age 2

Well-child visits can include:

  • Check of height and weight
  • Check of eyes, ears, nose and throat
  • Check of heart and lung function
  • Hearing or vision screening
  • Blood or urine testing
  • Immunizations and vaccinations, including a flu shot
  • Time to discuss health or developmental concerns and developmental milestones

Vaccines

We know you want your child to stay as healthy as possible. We believe vaccinations are powerful tools for making that happen. Our clinic follows the vaccination schedule developed by the American Academy of Pediatrics. If you have concerns about vaccines, your child’s provider will be happy to discuss those with you.

Sick-child visits

You want to see a provider quickly when your child is sick. We reserve same-day and next-day appointments for sick children whenever possible. This allows you to skip a trip to an urgent care clinic and see a provider you know and trust.

School, camp and sports physicals

Your child might need to have a medical form completed by a doctor before starting school, attending camp or participating in sports programs. Your provider can complete many of these forms during your child’s annual well-child visit. Please bring forms for your provider to complete with you, as we will not have those in our office. Your insurance plan may not cover sports physicals. Please be prepared to pay for your child’s services at the time of your visit if your plan does not cover those costs.

Behavioral consultations

If your child is living with attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), is having difficulty in school or problems with behavior, our providers want to help. We regularly assess this condition and help parents develop treatment plans tailored for each child.

Prenatal visits

Are you expecting a baby or looking for a pediatrician? Call us to schedule a prenatal visit, to tour our office and meet our providers. We will answer your questions and help you determine whether our office is a good fit for your family. We look forward to meeting you.
